Kaantha 

Kaantha plunges into the high drama of 1950s cinema culture in Madras — it charts the rise of an actor (Mahadevan), his clash with the director who discovered him, and the dynamics of fame, ego, and the film industry in that era.  While speculation suggested the film might be a biopic of M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, the makers have clarified it is a fictional work inspired by the era rather than any one individual’s life.
